So komme ich erst um halb acht auf den Trail. Im unmittelbar anstehenden Aufstieg begegne ich zwei \u00e4senden Rehen, die sich kaum von mir st\u00f6ren lassen. Landschaftlich gibt\u2018s auf den ersten Dutzend Kilometern kaum Neues, mit Blick auf den Blausee (engl. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anschliessend geht es steil hoch zum The Nipple, und das Wetter \u00fcbernimmt als Taktgeber f\u00fcr den Rest des Tages. Die Ausblicke sind dramatisch und sind auf den Fotos bei weitem nicht so eindr\u00fccklich wie vor Ort, ab und zu trifft mich ein Regenschauer. Manchmal jagen mir die dunklen Wolken \u00fcber mir im doppelten Sinne einen Schauer \u00fcber den R\u00fccken, da der Trail sehr exponiert verl\u00e4uft. Das Schauspiel dauert auch beim Mittagessen auf dem Carson Pass an. Als ich mit Lostboy runter zum Highway 88 komme, gibt\u2018s gleich zweimal nacheinander Trailmagic, einmal beim Visitor Center durch die Ranger und danach von Jumanji und seinem Vater. Damit sind die Energiereserven gef\u00fcllt, nun gilt es dem anrollenden Gewitter in Richtung Echo Summit zu entkommen\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" gekennzeichnet. Der Gewitterfront bin ich entwischt, fix und foxy komme ich mit Lostboy am Echo Summit Trailhead an. Wir sind auf ein langes Autost\u00f6pple eingestellt, doch bereits nach 5min h\u00e4lt eine junge Inderin an, sie stammt aus San Diego und reist mit Bruder und Mutter quer f\u00fcr Sightseeing durch Kalifornien. Am City Campground angekommen, erleben wir gleich die zweite \u00dcberraschung: Daniel und seine Frau erlauben uns auf ihrem Stellplatz zu \u00fcbernachten, sehr nett, da ohne Kostenfolge f\u00fcr uns.
