Gegen neun Uhr f\u00e4hrt uns Richy mit seinem Truck zur\u00fcck nach Lone Pine, wo nat\u00fcrlich noch ein ausgiebiges Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck aufgeladen wird. Die Hitches zur\u00fcck zum Onion Valley Trailhead sind schwieriger als in der Gegenrichtung, mit etwas Geduld klappt\u2018s denn auch. P\u00fcnktlich auf Mittag hin stehen wir auf dem Parking, doch los geht\u2018s noch nicht, es gibt zuerst mal Trailmagic und ich muss REI noch klarmachen, dass sie mir ein neues paar Schuhe nach Mammoth Lakes schicken sollen, f\u00fcr die anstehenden P\u00e4sse habe ich bereits jetzt kaum mehr gen\u00fcgend Grip mit meiner Sohle. Als das gekl\u00e4rt ist, starte ich den 900 H\u00f6hemeter-Aufstieg, mit acht Tagen Essen auf dem R\u00fccken ist das ganz sch\u00f6n anstrengend&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery zumindest im Vergleich zu vor zwei Tagen. Um zur\u00fcck auf den PCT zu gelangen nehme ich den h\u00f6herliegenden Kearsarge Pass Trail. Da das Wetter immer garstiger wird, beschliessen wir noch am selben Tag den Glen Pass zu \u00fcberqueren, zu kalt w\u00e4rs auf dessen S\u00fcdseite im Kessel. Also geht\u2018s weiter aufw\u00e4rts auf rund 3650 m.\u00fc.M. und kaum haben wir die Passh\u00f6he erreicht, ben\u00f6tigen wir unsere Microspikes an den F\u00fcssen und volle Aufmerksamkeit f\u00fcr den Abstieg. Gut zwei Stunden sp\u00e4ter stelle ich ziemlich groggy mein Zelt oberhalb des mittleren Rae Lake auf, es ist kalt aber gl\u00fccklicherweise fast windstill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
