Nach einem Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck im Zelt packe ich zusammen und laufe los, einzig \u201eMicrobear\u201c aus Kanada pennt noch in seiner H\u00e4ngematte, alle anderen sind schon weitergezogen, so wie ich sie kenne mit einem M\u00fcesliriegel zwischen den Z\u00e4hnen, kochen werden sie dann an der Sonne. Ich k\u00f6nnte nicht ohne heissen Kaffee und Oatmeal gleich los, item. Der Abstieg durch den Wald ist frisch aber sch\u00f6n, in der Ferne erkenne ich mein heutiges Tagesziel, den Chicken Spring Lake resp. der dar\u00fcber thronende Cirque Peak. Unterwegs begegne ich ein paar H\u00f6rnchen, und der Wald begr\u00fcsst mich, ich gr\u00fcsse nat\u00fcrlich zur\u00fcck. Vor dem Death Canyon Creek kreuze ich noch zwei wundersch\u00f6ne Meadows, in der Morgensonne sind sie einfach r\u00fchrend sch\u00f6n. An der Wasserstelle wiederfinde ich die fr\u00fchst\u00fcckenden Hiker, ich geselle mich zu ihnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped eine l\u00e4ngere Zeit, bis ich staunend \u00fcber das Olancha-Tal mit ihren Salzseen blicken kann, einfach atemberaubend. Da ich sogar ein wenig Handyempfang habe, mache ich nach dem vorgezogenen Lunch noch einen \u00dcberraschungsanruf zuhause. Es freut mich, mit Bea und Am\u00e9lie mich kurz austauschen zu k\u00f6nnen. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Langsam aber kontinuierlich n\u00e4here ich mich dem Cirque Peak. Nachdem ich im Holl\u00e4nder-Chrachen (engl. Dutch Creek) ein Nickerchen einlege, geht\u2018s mit meiner Form bergab. Meine Beine sind bleischwer, mein Magen rumpelt, mein Kopf schwirrt, ich f\u00fchle mich elend. Im Kriechgang k\u00e4mpfe ich mich zur n\u00e4chsten Wasserquelle, lerne Max und &#8220;Patch&#8221; kennen, \u00fcberwinde mich weiterzugehen. Die Umgebung ist supersch\u00f6n, doch ich kriege nur die H\u00e4lfte mit, f\u00fcr ein paar Fotos reicht es dennoch. Gef\u00fchlt unterk\u00fchlt erreiche ich den Zeltplatz auf einer grossen Lichtung unterhalb Cottonwood Pass. ruckzuck das Zelt aufgestellt und in der Sonne ein kalorienreiches Nachtessen zubereitet, im Nachgang geht\u2018s mir schon besser. Ich vermute zu viel Sonne am Vormittag und die H\u00f6he haben mir heute ein paar Steine in den Weg gelegt. Morgen geht\u2018s an den Fuss des Mount Whitney, das sind unter 30km, ein Klacks. Und ja, heute Mitternacht ist noch ein Meteoritenschauer angek\u00fcndigt, bin gespannt ob ich\u2018s kurz aus dem Zelt schaffen werde\u2026 \ud83e\uddd0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
